This is the Part 1 of Azure Storage series. In this session I go what Azure Storage is and how every Azure services touch Azure storage somehow or the other. Further in this session I discuss what Azure Storage Accounts are and how to create one. Concepts such as Azure storage replication types and Azure Storage types are also further discussed. The session ends with a demo of creating an Azure Storage account from the Azure Portal and then using PowerShell cmdlets.

Further discussions and demos are provided on how to run a script before an Azure Role is started. The session ends of with how to enable a security feature in IIS to only allow an IP address or a range of IP address to access the website on the Webrole.
